Hop Scotch Rocks

This was started plein air and finished in studio.  Painted at Martin Nature Park in Oklahoma City.  Usually turtles are sunning on these rocks.  This day I was delighted to see children happily skipping the rocks.  It was early morning and the turtles were still hibernating.
